We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's snook tournament. We would also like to congratulate the winners. Matt Pickett and John Ries placed first in the tournament with a 75.25" aggregate based on 2 snook. Their 39.25" fish also claimed the snook calcutta. In second place was Damien and Myles Lawler. The brothers, fishing from land, ended with a 72.5" aggregate. Tyler Woolcott and Preston Smith took 3rd place by time with a 69.75" aggregate. Tied by length, Cole Ferguson and Tony Perrone caught their 2nd qualifying fish at 7:39AM Sunday, shortly before the tournament ended, unfortunately pushing them out of the top 3. Taking the redfish calcutta, was Austin Campbell and Marshall Wallott with a 44" redfish, the same duo who placed 1st in the main tournament last year.
One thing we are passionate about is making sure our tournament is fun and worthwhile for everyone involved. Therefore, entry fees were fully paid out to the winners. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the calcuttas all walked away with a cash payout. With 67 teams participating this year, it equated to a nice payday for their hard work. Some teams fished most of the 24 hours, while others went out for a few hours at their convenience. Aside from the cash prize, winners also walked away with new rod and reel setups for each team member and many other great prizes. A Huge Thanks to our sponsorsWe were able to provide so much for our participants this year all thanks to our many great sponsors.
