Scott has been blessed to be able to do the thing he loves most as his life's work. His father and uncle introduced him to hunting and fishing in the outdoors at an early age. This became more than a hobby or weekend activity, this became his way of life. He hooked his first redfish in the Indian River in 1978 and has been a fishing fanatic every since. In 1999, he moved his family to New Smyrna Beach Florida in order to be closer to the water. He has been able to live, work, and raise my family literaly on the shores of the Mosquito Lagoon.

"I try to give every angler I take on a charter the opportunity to catch the biggest fish of their lives, the most fish they have ever caught, catch a new species of fish, or fish with a new technique."

- Capt. Scott

Captain Q & A

What are some things you like most about being a Guide?

Having the opportunity to take a father and son or daughter on a trip. They can spend time away from the world and get to fellowship with each other outside of the house in nature.

Also, fishing with people over the years who started out as clients that now have become great friends.

Any bad experiences on the water?

I have no 'bad' charters. I try to enjoy most peoples company on the boat no mater what the fish conditions may be. I feel sorry for the client that gets on the boat and can not relax. A fishing charter is more than catching fish, it is and can be a release from the daily grind. Fortunately for me and those who charter me, we are usualy blessed with the catching fish part of the equation!

Besides fishing the Mosquito Lagoon where are some of other interesting places you have fished?

Fishing in the Bahamas on white sandy flats for bonefish with no one around for miles but you and you fly rod!
